FAQ

SUMMER CLASSES

Summer registration for classes is currently OPEN! Our first week of classes is the first week of JUNE. The summer schedule will run for eight weeks. The cost is $80 per class taken (for the WHOLE summer)! $80 TOTAL for that class. What a steal! What a small price to pay to keep your child active and training towards their goals. 

SUMMER SCHEDULE:

  • Mondays

    • Intro 2 Dance (suggested ages 5-7) 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM ​

      • A blend of ballet, jazz, and hip hop style combinations. ​

      • Your child will learn the basics and fundamentals for multiple styles of dance!

    • Intro 2 Acro (suggested ages 5-7) 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ​

      • Your child will learn the basics of acrobatics, starting with a stretch and ending with repetition of skills and technique. ​

  • Tuesdays​

    • Ballet I (suggested ages 8-12) 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM​

      • Ballet basics and fundamentals. ​

      • Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes with hair tied up. 

    • Ballet II (suggested ages 13+) 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM​

      • More advanced combinations and reinforcement of ballet fundamentals.​

      • Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes with hair tied up.

    • Acro 101 (suggested ages 8+) 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ​

      • Your child will learn more advanced skills since they have mastered the basics in Intro 2 Acro. ​

  • Wednesdays ​​

    • Strength & Conditioning (suggested ages 8+) 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM​

      • Exercises and combinations that build muscle and flexibility needed in the dance industry. ​

    • Leaps & Turns (suggested ages 8+) 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM ​

      • Combinations and exercises that specifically target turn and leap skills. These are more advanced skills, not basics.​

  • Saturdays at the Z ​

    • See our social media for the upcoming professional instructors coming to the Z. These teachers will teach masterclasses which push dancers to find their groove, confidence, and performance qualities. ​

    • These classes can be booked here on the website and are generally about $20 per class.

DRESS CODE

We do require a certain dress code in order to ensure safety of others and full commitment and progression in dancers' respective styles. If your child is not in adherence to our dress code, we may ask them to leave or sit during class. Please see the proper dress for your respective classes:

  • All Classes

    • Hair must be up at all time. ​

    • No jewelry is permitted in class. 

    • Dancers are asked to keep deodorant in their bags to maintain hygiene.

  • Ballet

    • Hair must be up in a bun. ​

    • Leotard, tights, ballet shoes required.

    • A skirt is optional and allowed on top. 

  • Tap​

    • Hair must be up in a bun. ​

    • Form-fitting athletic clothing. For example:

      • Leotard, tights, skirt ​

      • Sports bra, tank top (fitted), leggings, shorts (fitted)

    • Tap shoes are required.​

  • Hip Hop​

    • Hair must be up. ​

    • Dancers are permitted to wear more loosely fitting clothing for hip hop. For example:

      • Adding sweatpants on top of shorts​

      • More loose-fitting t-shirt 

    • Tennis shoes are required. ​

  • Lyrical​

    • Hair must be up. ​

    • Form-fitting athletic clothing. For example:

      • Leotard, tight, skirt​

      • Sports bra, tank top (fitted), leggings, shorts (fitted)

    • Pirouettes are required.​

We do have all these items needed for class for sale in our SHOP. You may purchase your own attire for class, but keep in mind that for recital, you may be required to purchase the correct style/color of shoe and tights to match the rest of the class.

FALL REGISTRATION

Fall registration is for those seeking to be a part of a full season of dance with a recital at the end of the season. The season begins AUGUST 11TH and ends in MAY (2026). Dancers will take stylized classes which learn a routine that is performed at the recital in May. Embarking on this requires weekly classes, costumes, and commitment to our set show dates (typically set in September). Parents can expect to pay a monthly tuition based on the classes enrolled in, a recital fee of $150, and costume fees for each routine they're enrolled in. Costume fees are due December 1st. The recital fee is due March 1st. 

Here is a breakdown of all the classes we offer at Studio Z Dance Company: 

  • Itty Bitty (ages 2-4)

    • 45 minute class once a week​

    • 15 minutes of ballet*, tap*, and acro

    • Monthly tuition of $50 

  • Mini (ages 5-7)​

    • 30 minute class once a week for the following styles:​

      • Ballet* (required for tap)​ 

      • Tap*

      • Acro (required for hip hop)

      • Hip Hop*

    • Monthly tuition of $30 per class enrolled in​

  • Elementary (ages 8-11)​

    • 45 minute class once a week for the following styles:​

      • Jazz*

      • Tap*

      • Hip Hop*

    • 1 hour class once a week for the following styles:​

      • Elementary Ballet (required for jazz and tap)​

      • Acro (required for hip hop)

    • Monthly tuition of $45 per 45-minute class enrolled in​

    • Monthly tuition of $60 per 1-hour class enrolled in

  • Junior (ages 12-14) / Senior (ages 15+) ​

    • 1 hour class once a week for the following styles:​

      • Ballet (required for jazz, tap, and lyrical)​

      • Jazz*

      • Tap*

      • Lyrical*

      • Acro (required for hip hop)

      • Hip Hop*

    • Monthly tuition of $60 per class enrolled in. We do offer a multi-class discount. The more you take, the more you save! ​
